BioI have been inspired by the CurvyGirls website to start my own blog. I am a young woman in love with life. I have struggled through some very difficult body and self-esteem issues. Very early in life I thought and believed that I was not good enough unless I was the image that society portrayed. It started at age 12 and it didn't end until I was 23. At that moment I realized that I was more then the size of my clothes. I knew then that I was not going to harm my body any longer. I gained 40 lbs. and self-confidence and high self-esteem for the first time in my life. I wasn't looking for someone to validate me or tell me that I was important or special because I knew that I was.
I have also learned something interesting about my body. As I have gotten older I have been thinking about starting a family and I have come to appreciate my wonderful hips and full breast. My body has prepared me to carry a life.
I am so thankful for that.
